Villa Ombak Luwung
ByAn intricately carved lumbung (rice barn) at the edge of the beach makes a perfect venue for viewing the stunning sunsets of Bali.
Ombak Luwung is located at Jalan Nelayan (Street of the Fisherman) in the Canggu village area. Canggu is located approximately half way between the tourist district of Kuta and the important Balinese temple of Tanah Lot. We are about 45 minutes drive from the international airport. Within walking distance you will find the world famous Canggu surf beach (also known as Echo Beach) and the Tugu Hotel, which boasts an amazing collection of Indonesian antiquities on display as well as an excellent restaurant. Half an hours drive North, adjacent to the Tanah Lot temple, you will find the Meridien Resort and Nirvana golf course, frequently described as the most beautiful golf course in the world.
Going South towards Kuta and the airport, one comes to Seminyak and Legian with many fine restaurants and shopping opportunities. Our staff will be happy to provide recommendations and directions.
Ombak Luwung is managed by a Western-owned property management company and is fully staffed. This includes a full-time supervisor, housekeepers, cooks, gardeners, security staff and a full-time engineer to ensure that all facilities run smoothly. Our staff will look after your laundry and dry-cleaning needs and handle basic waiter service around the property. They can arrange transport, restaurant reservations and massage service at your request.
Ombak Luwung is an ideal venue for events such as weddings and family gatherings. Small functions of up to 15 persons can be handled by our own staff and using our own catering supplies. Functions of more than 15 persons will require additional staff and supplies and are subject to additional rental charges. Events of more than 20 persons will require the purchase of an entertainment license from the local village authorities and may require the hiring of an event coordinator. Our proximity to several important Balinese temples means that we may be asked to observe noise restrictions or curfews. I was secptical about coming and staying in a villa as I’ve always stayed in hotels but after entering the gate Ombak Luwung, my worries are varished.
It was a spectacular holiday with your impaccable staff catering to my every wish. All in all this is a restful and very enjoyable vacation.

Ombak Luwung is the most fantastic villa I have tried in from the Interiors to the landscaping everything is perfect. The villa will definitely leave a casting impression on me as it has been my favourite part of Bali.
The staff have been most cooperative and have gone out of their way to make this vacation so special for us.

A simple idea of a family vacation, we were introduced to this villa. Unknown to us, how great this vacation would be.
People kept on telling us that staying at one place for 8 days, would be a mistake. They have obviously never experienced such 8 days as we have just had at the Villa Ombak Luwung. With their friendly staff, eager to help and accommodate one any request, not to mention the wonderfully delicious food prepared by the cook.
We had the best time relaxing, eating, swimming and laughing during this unforgettable family facation. Anything we wanted, the staff made possible for us. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to relax and have fun here at the villa.
This will be definitely be one of the most memorable vacations in our lifetime. We will be back.

We feel very privileged to stay 10 days – such a magnificient villa.
An amazing vista and exquisite food prepared by Dorna capped off a very relaxing holiday.
Wish we could stay longer, next time we will !!!!!

I am the bride and everyone at our wedding party said they never experiences anything quite as beautiful as this amazing place.

The perfect setting for our wedding.

We had a wonderful, wonderful visit tot he villa.
The setting is beautiful, but the people here at the villa even better !
Adi and Dorna made our stay very special, they met our every request and made us all welcome. Unfortunately, we were here for the 2nd Bali bombing – Adi gave us up to date information and provided us all the facts we needed. He and Dorna made sure we were safe and had pertinent information. Our love for Bali rises above the tragedy that has happened.
We will come back to Bali- thanks to the wonderful people we have met and the exceptional service we have received.
We love Bali and we love Ombak Luwung.

Considering that we found Ombak Luwung at the very last minute and considering that the photographers on the net do minimal justice to the actual beauty of the villa, moving in here was manna from heaven.
So ….. delightful and heavenly was on stay at Ombak Luwung that I have not only become a Bali addict, but I will keep ………. to the villa for as long as I can. The staff was helpful. Words can not describe what a fabulous vacation we have had and I will miss Ombak Luwung so so much.

The house is simply perfect and the staff was wonderful. They prepared a great birthday party at very short notice, because the “birthday boy” decided last minute to have one - after repeatedly forbidding us to plan something.
We all agreed there is nothing we could think of that could have been done any better. What a wonderful place! Congratulations to the architect and the decorator.
Thank you very much for all your help in organizing this memorable holiday, we all hope to come back to this wonderful place!
